This is my first time ever starting a group and I thought that there needed to be a group in my area for people like me and my family. I would love for this to be a group where you can come and chat whether your child has just been recently diagnosed or has been on the spectrum for sometime now. Perhaps even you may not have been given a diagnosis for your child or children yet but or wondering what to look for. I know as a mom of a child with PDD-NOS how many questions you have on a daily basis. I hope this group is successful and who knows maybe someday we can even meet up once a month with the kids or have a parents night out. Also I would like to include in this group that typical families are welcome too. I think that children like my son can learn and benefit from typical peer modeling just as I feel typical children can benefit from children with specail needs. Here is to hoping this is a successful group!
