Pittsburgh Parents with Autistic Children

My 15 year old son has aspergers....
I would like to talk to other parents with children like my son. "Charlie" is 15 years old now, but was diagnosed when he was 4 years old at Childrens Hospital in Pittsburgh. He is going through all the natural changes in his body that adolence brings. He is also developing feelings and is curious about members of the opposite sex. Charlie was easy to deal with when he was young. Little kids, little troubles. He has no clue what appropriate conversation is or behaviours that are acceptable. He is socially delayed and needs to figure it all out. I am trying to help him and I have agencies involved to help but it seems he is so resistant and maniplutive that it often feels that we are getting nowhere with him. I want so badly for him to 'get it' and to grow into a healthy, happy young man and be successful in his life but he is struggling so much I am worried. He was caught viewing porn sites on the Internet. I became aware when a pop up arrived on my computer screen after work one day that said that my 30 day free trial has expired and I could pay the $39.95 with a credit card. I was shocked and angry. Both at myself for not suspecting anything (not protecting my kids by disabling the PC when I was gone to work) and that these sites are so easily accessed by kids. I did use the parental controls but my son is very intellegent and knows more about the computer than I. He figured out how to bypass all that.
Anyhow, that is where I am at. I will never stop trying with my son but it is so difficult at times. Having support is always to my advantage.
Please send me messages if you can relate or if I can help you in any way, I will certainly try.
Sincerely,
Donna
