Summer Art Program
Classes are created for children ages 5 – 11.Each class involves an array of activities based upon a theme. Some classes, will be a new project each day, but most are cumulative. In those cases it would be best to plan on attending each day of that class. Each day there will be a break where kids create their own snack with given ingredients. They will be healthy snacks and please advise me of any allergies.

Art is a Science! (2 day class) (12-17 student maximum)

Learn how to mix primary colors, make a color wheel, how basic shapes create an array of illustrations! How to find your inner artistic style using a variety of mediums.
Color Wheel in fruit snacks.
Father’s day Gift Class & Wood Crafts (2 day class)
(12-15 student maximum)

Make a card, various Father’s day crafts. Using popsicle sticks, toothpicks and tongue depressors. Make Picture Frames, Crowns, Pen Holders, Treasure chests, Flag Magnet, bead coasters.

Hand Stitch and Sew (8-10 student maximum)

June 25-26 Wasco 2:00pm – 4:30pm
Learn the basics of crochet, embroidery, and simple stitching. Make a purse or wallet and decorate with techniques learned. Make own pincushion, stuffed animal Friend, Pillow, apron to hold goodies!

Aspiring Actors Workshop (4 day class)
(10-15 student maximum)
June 29- July 2 1:00-4:00 pm
Writing exercise, come up with story characters. Make simple props and costumes, some Puppet making for those who do not want to act. In the end have a Play for the parents

Fashion Designers (2 day class) (8-12 student maximum)

Decorate t-shirts, hats. Learn how to design own outfits. Fashion Show last day for parents.

Paper Crafts & Recycled Art (3 day class) (8-12 student maximum)
(This class will be more challenging, children under 7 not recommended)

Paper airplanes, origami, and collage art. Mediums used: paper, ink, paint, watercolor, crayons, Stamps. Paper Mache masks, newspaper and magazine beads, scrap frames, photo keychain, portable seat pad, Old Sock Monkey..etc

Sculptural Art (2 day class) (8-10 student maximum)
July 21-22 Bakersfield 1:30-4:00 pm
July 22-23 Wasco 2:00pm – 4:30pm
Using Air dry clay, Plaster of Paris, Make Sculptures, charms for necklaces or key chains.
