| Hello! My name is Sam and my husband is Nick. We currently have 1 little tyke, a son named Alijah, born on October 29th, 2013. We used to live in Brevard, NC and have recently moved to Johnson City, TN. We've not met any people yet and I am so ready to meet people and start getting out a little.
I am a very "natural" parent. Little man wouldn't breastfeed but we mimic it when he eats (meaning he still gets cuddled, cooed too and feeding time is still mommy / daddy bonding time). He is on a selective / delayed vaccination schedule. I baby wear, co-sleep, and do not believe in "self soothing". My son goes where I go, I haven't yet left him with a babysitter (and honestly, probably never will). I prefer home remedies and I will be blending his foods when he gets older (seriously! Have you tasted that store stuff?! Ick!). I will not strike my child or use violence to raise him. I don't believe in negative reactions but more "natural punishments" (basically meaning karma) and positive reinforcement. I do not use the words "training" "submitting" or "breaking" to explain my children. We are not here to break them, but to lift them into being respectable young adults and eventually respectable members of society. I promote home schooling, through and through. I hope to raise him with compassion, empathy, respect, accepting and just being an all around gentleman. I am homing to find momma's that are raising their babies the same. |

| Alijah and I are still getting used to each other but so far he appears to be a happy, healthy baby. He loves to move, wiggle, "stand", "talk" and blow bubbles. He loves animals, already. He appears to be out going and only gives new people a funny look for a few minutes before warming up and returning a smile.
We are a very outgoing family. We love meeting new people, new furry friends and love to hang out, talk, share books, walk / play with our animals, eat dinner with friends and we love card / board games. We've never been into drinking, drugs, or other things that some kids find fun these days. We enjoy Church on the weekends, flea markets, and window shopping at the mall. |
