I am a new mother of a 2 month old baby girl. Until recently, I was an elementary school teacher. Although I thought being a stay-at-home mother would be my dream, I am struggling to adapt to my new role. I feel lonely and isolated, and despite being "busy" all day, I feel like I'm not really doing anything of value. I know that raising children is noble and important, but I'm not used to not working or having validation from the outside world. Looking for mothers who've experienced these feelings, as well as new friends who have young babies. As I read over this, it sounds like I'm really depressed about being a mom. That is not the case at all! I adore my daughter and consider her the best thing that's happened to me. I would just like to connect with others who may be experiencing the same thing, as well as finding company for workouts, play dates, etc... Thank you! |
