| I am the busy working mother of a 2 year old wonderful little boy. I have 3 jobs and am also in dental assisting school. I have a ton of friends, however - being a younger mom i have very few friends with children of their own and zero in NC. I would love to find other moms who with children around my sons age who would like to have play dates and whatnot... i want a little friend for my son so that he can have someone to come over and play with him.... and it would be nice to have a friend here who could give me useful advice and not the answers i get from my friends whose priorities differ from mine. I look forward to meeting other moms of toddlers very soon :) |

| My son is 2 years old, he is HUGE for his age and wears 4t as of right now. He is slightly behind on when it comes to his speech development but he progresses by leaps and bounds daily. He is very active... and I mean VERY. He never sleeps it feels like; but he is so darn cute that you could care less how tired you are. He loves blocks, basketball, being outside, trains, slides, and other kids (loves playdate and daycare). Hes the sweetest kid and very affectionate, he just does not have any friends here (because all of mine are still in college and have yet to concieve).
My husband is also younger (we are 24 and 25), he was active duty marine until last year when he decided to go back to school to pursue a career in law enforcement. He is amazing in every way possible and the best father i could ever have chosen. He is somewhat shy (opposite of me, I am in no way shape or form shy) and could use a dad friend around here too ;) (he would kill me for making man dates for him lol). We get along really well and very rarely disagree on anything. We met on match.com and have been going strong ever since. We believe in not letting our son be spoiled... setting boundaries and letting him know who is in charge (we make him help us clean his room.. etc.). We are old - school and want our son to say please, thank you, mam and sir... we would love to have other couple friends with children close to our sons age because we feel he lacks the companionship of a friend. (We lived in Jacksonville NC when my husband was active duty and had an abundance of friends with children the same age or close but we have all been dispersed around the country and have all found ourselves feeling like we miss that familiar bond.)
We look forward to meeting new people of all kinds and cannot wait to get started :) |
