I have 3 grown children one passed away on 12/25/08. I have a new baby boy named Charlie and he just turned two.
My son has a syndrome called, Loyes Dietz or LDS.
It is a muted gene that cause him to have some abnormalities such as, Long feet and toes, some fingers are different in size and webbed thumbs. he has and enlarged Aorta that grows at a rapid pace and need high blood pressure meds to help slow the pace.
He will never be able to play any contact sports or anything else that could hurt his chest and cause a Aorta disruption. To look at him you wouldn't notice anything wrong and for the most part he acts and grows like any other 2 yr old. He is intellectually smart, the syndrome does not effect learning ability's.
I am considering home schooling out of my own fright but not sure what is really best for him |
