| My name is Emily and I am mother to one, my son Sky (2), and just moved to Greencastle, PA. I am 23 yrs old and am looking for other mothers in the area (about my age preferable) with children of the same age either for playdates, babysitting, or just some local parenting advice. I'm pretty laid back and easy to get along with but being a young family new to the area I'm a bit intimidated. I consider myself to be bold and a little eccentric at times. It takes a little nerve for me to meet and associate with new people at first but once you get to know my family and I, I consider myself a pretty fun person to hang out with. Priorities for my way of life are preparing and serving good healthy meals for my family of 3, spending time experiencing new things as a family, teaching my son to read and currently potty training. | I have only one son, so far, named Skyler Cain. He typically goes by Sky. Sky struggles a little with physical skills (not rough or a good runner) he seems to do well with his verbal and recognition skills. Skyler's social skills could definatly use some work as I'm his only playmate 24/7 most of the week. He tends to be shy to new people but very easily warms up to older people, his exposure to other children his own age has been very limited. Sky like's ducks, trucks, dogs, blocks, Thomas the Tank Engine, Bob the Builder, Little Einsteins, Baby Einsteins, Men In Black, tractors, bathtime, grapes, chocolate and soda (but has only had it halved with water like once a month or less, I am very against soda and fast food for children(i said very against not intolerable)). Skyler doesn't like big scary dogs, carrots, tomato juice, snow, getting dirty, swimming, sharing or bedtime. My fiance, Toby (my son's father), and I recently got engaged after five years of being together. We still don't have a date but are very happily living together in Greencastle with our son Sky. Daddy's gone most of the week working OTR for JPD in the tanker division (he drives trucks far away most of the time). Toby also has a private pilot's license and a motorcycle license. When Daddy's home on the weekend we cook, clean, watch movies, walk to the park when it's warm, shop and occasionally try something new and exciting together (like cutting our own tree down last month). All three of us thinks giggling in bed is the best way to wake up in the morning instead of running out to do errands or cleaning the cute little house we call home for now. We also like watching movies and best of all we all love food, and I love cooking (how lucky). |
