| I am a father with a soon to be three year old daughter. I also have raised my girlfreinds nine year old and 12 year old kids as my own. I was layed off from my job last year and am having a hard time finding employment. My girlfreind is going to school full time and is loaded with home work so I am the one with the kids which is fine with me. When I was working I did not see my kids much so this has helped with our bond. My three year old has no social skills due to not being around other kids her own age. Now that it is nice I am taking her to playgrouds where she finds kids to interact with but when they leave she feels the loss. I want to find some play groups or places where she can make freinds that she can repeat playing with. The hardest thing for me at a play ground with a strange mother is that it feels ike i am trying to pick her up. I also would like to meet other parents. I do not socialize with anyone but my kids so some adult interaction would be good for me. |
