| I am new to this whole group experience but let me tell you a little about myself and we'll go from there. I was in a great relationship for nearly a year with a man i truly thought I would spend the rest of my life with, He asked my hand in marriage on Christmas 08', I immediately accepted. I was absolutely thrilled. And than I found out that I was pregnant. And what should have been a very exciting time for both of us and our relationship and our future plans turned out to be an awful and painful experience after finding that the man I thought to be so committed and in love with me was cheating on me with his ex girlfriend and had gotten severly addicted to very hardcore drugs. I immediately moved back home to minneaplis and cut off all ties with this man that had so quickly become suce a stranger to me. I vowed to my unborn child that I will do everything I can to make sure he lives a wonderful life with love, stability and safety. The father wants no part in his raising so I am determined to be the best single mother I can. I am due to give birth to this blessing called my son at the end of August and would love to meet other women, children, and even men who can related to the difficulties of raising a child by themselves and still having a fulfilling life outside of just being a parent. |
