| I'm a stay-at-home mom of one, a one year old girl, and I'm due in August with our second, probably a boy. I'm slowly taking classes to become a doula, which is a birth/labor assistant, as well as a breastfeeding/lactation consultant and childbirth educator. I'd love to meet some moms who have similar aged kids who would like to go for walks or bike rides or hang out WITH the kids around. |

| My Rae just turned a year old at the end of April. She's spunky, loves people, just learned to shriek, laughs a lot, grinds her teeth, LOVES books and can just sit and turn pages for a long time quite happily. She doesn't walk yet, but it seems as though she's venturing that way. She usually responds well to the energy of other kids, so is usually calm around calm kids and rough-houses with high energy kids. She hasn't had much exposure to kids, but she responds great to adults, and usually tries to climb up on them right away.
Her father, Scott, is really taking to fatherhood well. Now that she's more interactive, he plays with her a lot more, and he's creative in completely different ways than I am, so we complement each other well. He works long hours, so Rae and I are usually alone. |
