About Me
I am a new mom to a beautiful little girl. My daughter, Morgan, was born on July 11, 2008. My husband and I decided that I was going to be a stay at home mom with our daughter after we really struggled with getting pregnant. After such trials and heartbreak, we couldn't justify me working when we could get by without my income. That was a hard decision since I had a pretty high rank job with the company that I was with and they were really pushing for me to stay, offering me quite a bit more money. I would say that I have a pretty low key personality. I don't need to be doing something constantly, I really like to be at home with my husband, daughter, and dog. A daily walk usually satisfies me with getting out of the house most days. However, I am quickly figuring out that a whole lot more comes with this mom thing than I had thought. Don't get me wrong, I knew it wasn't going to be easy, but I wasn't expecting some of the problems that I have had and some of the feelings that I have been having. So, I am realizing that I need to have some sort of support group that I can come to with issues and either be told that I am completely off base with what I am doing, or that I'm doing a good job and that is just how babies are. I also want to be able to help other moms out there too. I know that I have only been a mom for a little over a month right now and may not have a ton of experience, but I can be someone to just vent to for other moms, which I have found can be quite helpful already. I have been venting to my mom and sister this past month, but there are a lot of things that I am doing that they don't agree with and aren't very supportive of.

About My Family
I have one child, a little girl named Morgan. She is a little over a month old right now, born on July 11, 2008. Right now, I can't really say what her personality is like. She pretty much just eats, poops, and sleeps. She loves to sleep on mommy and daddy's chest. She usually likes to be read to, but will definately let you know when she gets bored with that. My husband is a fire fighter, so that means he works a 24 hours shift and then has 72 hours off. Contrary to what I thought before our daughter was born, he is quite good with her. Changing diapers and feeding her while he's home to help me out. He is really attentive to her during her feedings. He doesn't know what to do other than that right now because you really can't "play" with her. But he's learning that she'll respond if you talk to her now.
