| Although I started having my kids pretty young I can't stand it when people assume that I don't know what I am doing. I basically raised myself, my sister, my MOTHER, and helped with one of my cousins; so by the time I had my first child at the age of 18 I was pretty experienced. My oldest (5) also has a sensory integration problem and will probably end up diagnosed with some type of learning or behavioral disorder before long (ive been told this by NUMEROUS psychologists, who can't diagnose until he starts school) and I am definitely a squeaky wheel! I'd like to go back to school to be a teacher but there are some complications right now keeping me from doing that. As of now I am a stay at home mom to 2 energetic, funny, and sweet little boys who keep me busier than i was when i was working outside the home. I'd like to connect with other SHMs, with children close in age to mine (5 and 2), and also with wives of military and\or police officers as my fiance is both. |

| TRISTON is 5. He is sweet, sensitive, and protective of his brother. But he also terrorizes him and is insanely jealous of any attention given to Wyatt. For the first 3 and a half years of his life it was just me and him so he is a BIG momma's boy. But also very much the quintessential boy. He has had a lot of minor developmental problems and is very much a pain in the neck sometimes.
WYATT is almost 21 months old. Almost potty trained (yay) the sweetest kid ever sometimes but stubborn, bossy and outright mean at others. And still doesn't talk very much :( or really at all his total vocab consists of less than 10 words with no sentences..
JASON is my fiance and both the boys' father. He is a member of the Army National Guard and a City Police Officer. I love him very much and he is a GREAT person, partner, father and friend BUT we have a hard time getting along because we are both very stubborn and he doesn't listen; He also tends to bring what I call his "drill sargent persona" home with him which rubs me the wrong way since I am a responsible adult and not a criminal, troop, or child... |
