I am the co-author of The Modern Mom’s Guide to Dad: Ten Secrets Your Husband Wont Tell You www.momsguidetodads.com (Cumberland House, 2007). My co-author is Jesse Jayne Rutherford, a mom of two daughters. The book is a 2008 NAPPA Gold Award Winner.
I've appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show for a special program about stay-at-home dads, ABC’s Fathers and Sons Documentary and NBC’s The Other Half and Unsung Heroes.
I've been an at-home dad/primary caregiver for 18 years.
My wife, Tina, and I have been married for 21 years and live with our three boys in Newport Beach, California.. Grant (20) attends Pepperdine University and plays for the Men's Volleyball Team. Wesley (18) who is disabled, diagnosed with Angelman Syndrome, lives in Murrieta, California. Matthew (14) attends Mater Dei High School and plays for the Boy's Varsity Volleyball Team.
I want to help bridge the communication gap between moms and dads.

My wife, Tina, is a Speech Patholgist. She loves working with and helping children. In her spare time, Tina loves to walk with our golden retriever, Brandy.
Grant, 20, is a sophmore and member of the Pepperdine Men's Volleyball Team. He is also a member of the USA National Beach Volleyball Training Team and is currently competing on the 2008 AVP Beach Volleyball Tour.
Wesley, 18, was born with a rare genetic disorder called Angelman Syndrome. He love people and enjoys swimming in the pool. Wesley lives in a wonderful home for the disabled. A loving and caring staff does a fantastic job of caring for him.
Matt, 15, is also a volleyball junkie. He is a freshman and member of the Mater Dei Boy's Volleyball Varsity Team. Matt also plays the drums and enjoys playing with his Rubic cubes.
