| I am a mother of 2 girls. I am currently on maternity leave with my 6 month old. I joined this site so I could contact other mothers about my sign language classes for parents of hearing children ages 8 months - 24 months. I signed with my first daughter and am starting now with my 6 month old. I found using sign language with my first daughter lessened the frustration and stress when trying to figure out what my child wanted. I have a bachelor's degree in deaf education and a master's degree in visually impaired with emphasis in deaf/blind. I've worked for a special education cooperative for 11 years. |
