| I am a newly stay-at-home mom returning to Charleston after a short period in Indiana. My husband is active duty Air Force stationed at Charleston AFB. I watch a 9-month-old little boy throughout the week. My daughter and him are on the same napping schedule, amazingly, so I do get a break to frantically run around cleaning and preparing for the next meal for them...and sometimes I am able to sneak in a snack of my own!
I have never been much of the domesticated type, so the transition from being a bread winner who earned everything she had from her own hard work, to being dependent on my husband has its ups and downs. I love being able to spend time with my daughter, who was in daycare full-time for the first 4 months, but I feel suddenly caged.
I am working on meeting some moms and maybe even couples in the area in similar situations and with similar interests. I did find a Military Moms group which is working out well so far, but I still haven't really met anyone whom I am elated with.
