I am the mother of two children and grandma of 2. I am joining this group because of one of my granddaughters who is 4 yrs. old.
My daughter and my granddaughter's father have never been married and my daughter left him when pregnant with her because she found him sleeping around. My daugher was barely 21 at the time.
I am wanting to join this group for ideas, support and maybe some "help" with a legal battle that has just started a few months back when the absentee father (he hasn't seen her of his own choice for 3 yrs) decided to sue my daughter for joint legal custody.
She doesn't own a computer or she may have joined this group herself and since I'm pretty much her financier with this legal battle I thought I could use some words or wisdom myself. |

My daughter is 26 yrs old and she is currently living with her 2 daughters and her fiance and works outside the home as well as w/n the home. She is busy just maintaing a home for her daughters and doesn't get to pursue much outside of the house right now..which is so very sad. She's a vital young woman with much to contribute. She's bright, reads a lot, is concerned about injustice and is GREAT with animals.
My son is 9 yrs old. He's a video game addict but is happy to be w/o them if he has other things to occupy him physically. He's a very nice, bright young man who has a heart of gold! He's scared of dogs & doesn't particularly like their slobber and barking but loves cats and every other living creature (well, except for things he deems "bad").
My granddaughters are 4 and 1. The oldest is BEAUTIFUL and the youngest is as "cute as a bug's ear". The oldest is quite bright and VERY attached to her mother emotionally even though being so very independent. She's a sensitive soul to say the least..
My spouse? He's my daughter's stepfather who has raised her from 3 1/2 yrs old. He owns his own construction company and is in the throes of trying to get it "growing"? Uhm..quiet, somewhat passive-aggressive (and I say somewhat "tongue-in-cheek". I'll just leave it at that for now. |
