| I am a mother of two girls and a psychoanalyst and writer in Westwood. I have been writing a column called Claudia Confidentially which is about the real feelings and problems parents face including "losing it", dealing with feelings that are not always sunshine and light, family conflits, etc. I'd like to connect more to what real problems for Moms are, and I'd like to find out if my column, which is online, is really offering helpful advice. |

| My children, Zoe and Miranda, are like night and day. Zoe is a psychoanalyst, like me, and studies everybody's motivation. Miranda is more interested in activities and information - she plays the piano amazingly well. My husband has taught me everything I need to know about how to get along with people. Not only because he's good at it, but because we have worked hard to learn to get along ourselves. He is the reason I started writing - he's a creative director - and the reason I decided to develop patience. The hardest thing about family life, for me, aside from training our new puppy, is managing our negative feelings. This is the realm I want to explore here, there and everywhere. |
