| I am rather shy when it comes to describing myself for online communities. I can be very spirited and willful, but I am also a very casual person who just likes to run with things. I enjoy eating and laughing, preferrably with a few friends. In highschool and college, I was always described as assertive, goal-oriented, and pretty whimsical. Currently a stay-at-home mom, I would like to make a career in cellular research once all my kids are of school age. It's very important to me for me to be with my son and baby-to-come right now though, so all career plans are on hold. I went to a liberal arts college for music performance and writing, and I still make efforts to play piano and write.
I would like to use this site to find playmates for my son. I am relatively new to this area and do not have the opportunity to meet too many couples with young children. |

| My son, Caleb, is currently 21 months old and will be 2 in June. He is instantly drawn to animals, musical instruments, Mr. Rogers, and people of the female persuasion. Caleb is pretty much all boy and likes to run around and be wrestled with. However, he is also very good with sharing his toys, taking turns, and not crowding. His favorite play time activities are playing with trains, "cooking" stacking blocks, and just roaming around outside. One of his quirks is his tendency to cry when he sees people fight. Because of this, my husband and I are very careful about the movies we rent and when we watch them. Adjectives which would be good for him include: always-hungry, energetic, enthusiastic, stubborn, compassionate.
My husband, Daniel, is probably the reason why Caleb sometimes insists on being chased around and tumbled. Daniel is quick to grin and likes to make everything a game with Caleb, which has both positive and negative effects (at least I think so). He works as a landscaper and grows flowers in greenhouses: irises, lillies, astra, snaps. |
