About Me
I am a mommy to two little girls, ages 6 and 4. Sometimes I feel as if that is all I am, but I have so many other things that I like to do. I love to scrapbook and craft and reading is a favorite passed time... although there isn't much time for this. haha. My hubbie and I have decided to homeschool for the sole reason that I want to watch them grow up instead of sending them off to school in the morning and missing all the "wonderful" and not so "wonderful" things they do each day. This decision did not come lightly and there are days when I think I might have been wrong. haha. The only thing that is really hard for us is the lack of playtime and friends that the girls have. I would like to find another mom (family) that could use a little playtime as well. We live in the mountains of San Bernardino, but would be willing to drive a little to meet some new people.

About My Family
My babies are really wonderful little girls. They are 6 and 4 and quite rambunctious. They never sit down or slow down... even when it's bedtime. They stopped taking naps when they were just 2, so I feel as if I haven't slept in about 7 years. haha. My little one was recently diagnosed with type 1, early onset diabetes and has to take insulin shots. That was really hard. And my 6 year old is really feeling the lack of attention for herself. The last two months have been interesting to say the least. But we are getting through it. My older daughter is going through some interesting things at this early age also. We have started going to an occupational therapist for some sensory processing issues. She is a "normal" kid in almost every aspect of life, but is very sensitive and emotional and has a hard time sometimes with certain social situations. I call her an "old soul" because she doesn't talk or act like a regular six year old. I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that she hasn't been to school. She acts the way she feels comfortable, instead of watching others act and mimicking them. This can sometimes "scare off" potential playmates, because they don't know how to react to her. She really wants some friends and playmates. (one of the main reasons I am on this site) She loves math and hates spelling and reading. We work mostly on the computer for her schooling and she takes to that like a duck in water. They are both great little girls and would love to have some kids to play with. May hubbie works hard and is barely home during the week. Our weekends are sacred to us and we deem them as "only family time". We like to motorhome on the weekends and go on mini vacations. There are times when I would love to leave the kids with him and join a scrapbooking club. Because even mommies need some time to be women. Anyway, that is my family in a nut shell. Hope we sound fun and not too needy. haha
