My passion is to support families with newborns, or older children, to thrive and experience joy in parenting! Mommy Nurture Doula offers in-home postpartum care, including support with the physical, emotional, and social needs for the whole family. Doulas help facilitate communication within the family and with other support professionals. Our specialties include:
-mother care
-in home massage
-infant massage instruction
-overnight care
-experience with twins and multiples care
-father support
-nutritional counseling
-how to comfortably and successfully use your sling/baby carrier
-newborn baby care (diapering, safe car seat use, bathing, etc)
-breastfeeding education, support, and referrals to resources if needed
-counseling (my areas of specialty are: life transitions, parenting, relationships, grief and loss, postpartum depression, miscarriage, and fertility issues)
-Compassionate Communication training (for couples, for parent to child, and more)
-education and resources
-help with pet care, and expertise transitioning pets to life with a new family member/newborn
-meal preparation and shopping
-household organization
-emotional support and care
-assistance with older siblings
-sleep tips, education, and coping strategies
-how to soothe a newborn's cries (for example, instruction on "The Happiest Baby on the Block" skills)
-photography (to capture the memories of those precious first days, as well as in-home photos of your family at any stage)
-emotional and practical support
-support for parents with a child needing or recovering from surgery or illness
