new here
I'm new to the group and to this website. I have a 19 month old son...will be 20 months on feb 7th.

My problem right now with him is just dicipline and potty time...HE WILL NOT do the potty thing. I am not gong to push him to do it but I do ask him and he says, no! So I am just mellow with it...but how long will this last? Will he ever want to start going on the potty? One time I sat him on it and he screamed bloody murder. I leave his diaper off at night and he does sit on it but will not do any business on it...the potty chair is for his cars and trains for now.

Hi and welcome to the group/site.
With regard to the potty - boys start later than girls, and per my pediatrician, boys are usually ready closer to 3 years old, so maybe put off the potty for now, or just leave it out, and let your son check it out and approach it with interest when he's ready.

I, too, have heard that boys start later than girls. My brother in law and his wife just started refusing to put a diaper on their son when he was 3. He eventually started using the potty after getting in trouble so many times.

oh gosh!...Hopefully it wont take too long...ha ha. I'm not going to try to have another baby until he starts trying to do it. I hope it's not until he's 3.
