Hi - I'm new here but I can relate. My daugther, (Zoey 2.3 yrs) has been awake in her crib for almost 90 minutes before finally falling asleep. She plays and sings and calls for me -- she is wide awake. I give her fruit after dinner always and she's still on a bottle, so maybe it's sugar. I am going to try and avoid the fruit to see. Last night she was awake til almost 9:45. I don't get it ... she used to fall asleep in about 15 minutes. I know she needs more sleep! |

Hey Ladies/Jennifer. I have a three year old, who still takes a afternoon nap. If he doesn't have a nap, he doesn't sleep very well at night. Also, I have been doing playdates for him during the week, which totally helps release the energy he has, so he does sleep well. Check out playdates around their age, it helps. Good luck to you all. |

I can relate too . My son(28mon) sleeps well but it takes over a half hour to fall asleep in his crib at night he just plays and talks then he is finally out for the count. I know he is tired cause I always wake him up by the latest 3pm from his nap. Plus he is super active all day!!!! So who knows with these little ones anymore :O) |

I can totally relate. My 2 y/o use to go to sleep literally on command. But nw it takes her about an hour to calm down enough to go to sleep. My 3y/o is a whole other story. It takes her ll freaking evening to get ready for bed. All she wants to do is talk and play games. I have even went so far as to ignore her and try to get her to thinkt that I was sleep. But that did not work because she would wake her sister up so she can talk to her. Me and my husband moved them in our room about 1 month ago because we painted their room and did not want them sucking in the fumes. Now there are trespassers with no plans on leaving any time soon. Imagine sleeping in a room with three beds!! One thing that has helped in that we usually get them in bed at least one hour early, turn off the television, and radio and lights and they usually talk themselves to sleep. |
