to energetic ...my 7yr old tornado

I love my youngest son but he is really getting on everyone's nerves. He is a very energetic boy who loves to do things and say things that are bothersome to most. He cannot sit still or he will (just out of the blue) do something or throw somthing to get in trouble. He is the baby of the family but we are trying to teach him he can't get his way and he is not a baby anymore. His older brothers and I feel we should just ignore some of the foul things he says but I babysit and he talks like that around them too. I don't really want these girls to learn the things or do the things he does. He is out of control..and I am not going to have hair left to pull..

All children are different. I would definately address his behavior and punish him to let him know the behavior is unnacceptable. Also, you may want to check with your pediatrician to make sure that your child is not dealing with ADD or ADHD. Even if he is not or you don't agree with that it is worth looking into all of the possibilities. Think about anything that could have happened that would explain why he is behaving this way. I feel children do things for a reason. Reasons are usually different for each child. If not try taking him to a counselor to make sure there is nothing else going on. If not maybe he will grow out of it (a phase) or maybe he is testing the boundaries right now to see what he can get away with for some reason????? Mom's will never know all the answers we just have to look into all the options and advocate for our kids! Good Luck!
