hello
Hello all,
My son is 3 yrs. old and has oral apraxia. Anyone else out there in the same predicament?

Hi and welcome! We are dealing with a speech delay as far as I know, but check out the resources list for some awesome links for therapy ideas and products for language development.

Hi Heather,

My son just turned 4 last month. He has verbal apraxia and oral issues as well. He has a really hard time moving his tongue from side to side and up and down-although this part of the problem is a little better now, with a lot of practice on his part. We have been in speech therapy for almost a year now, and we are seeing some improvement, although we still have a long way to go. How are things going with your son?

Welcome to the group, and make yourself at home :-)

My son has not been diagnosed with anything but has had speech therapy for the last 5 months. I don't really know if I should continue with it. He talks way more than he did 5 months ago, but is still a little hard to understand. The other problem is he will not talk to the speech therapist or anybody else for matter. I think he can say about 150 words and puts some together.
