What happens once my girl begins school knowing that she is not vaccinated?

You have to have a form that says you are exempt from vaccinating her. there are only two ways they give you the form one of them is for religious reasons, I don't know the other.

Both my children attend school, one in High School and the other in First Grade. I live in California; and as for the Immunizations you will sign the "Personal Beliefs" Affidavit: it says "I hereby request exemption of the child, named in front, from the immunizations requirements for school/childcare cener entry because all or some immunizations are contrary to my beliefs. I understand that in case of an outbreak of any of these diseases, the child may be temporarily excluded from school for his/her protection". You sign your name and date it.

I also signed the "Waiver of Oral Health Assessment".

Remember, you will ask for these forms. The school will not volunteer this information to you.

I hope this helps.

i herd from a public school teacher in duval county that today u don't even have to give a reason in the state of florida. u just get the valcher and don't have to worry about a reason.

Every state has a waiver you can sign. All fifty offer a medical waiver, meaning there are medical reasons your child is not vaccinated like a reaction or some form of autoimmune diseases. Forty eight states offer a religious exemption, which means you have a religious reason for not vaccinating. You do not have to belong to a particular church or religion to give a religious reason. Only sixteen states (last I checked) have a philosophical exemptioin, which just basically says you disagree with the philosophy of vaccination. Public institutions like public schools and daycares are required by law to accept your waiver in place of a shot record. Private schools are not.

Oh, and you should be able to get the forms from your local health department. That's where I got mine, at least.
