Thanks for the warm welcome. I live in Moon, PA, 5 mins from the airport. The weather here is definately differant. Perhaps I got to use to the 70 degree temp @ Christmas. I have learned to get to downtown Pitt and the Strip district and Target and that is it. I am familiar with Cranberry Township. I love it there. My soon to be mother-in -law lives in Butler, so I have made it to Cranberry. I am excited to meet new people and hope to get to meet you guys soon. My apartment is starting to give me Cabin Fever!

You're doing better than me! I live in Shaler/North Hills area. We moved here mid-December...left the scortching heat for a white Christmas. It's been refreshing...but reality. My husband grew up in this area. We're currently living with the in-laws until my husband finds employment. But, I think it's going to be longer than expected. I DO NOT know my way around - all the streets look the same. I'm scared to navigate the roads in this weather. I understand your feelings. I have yet to get to a playdate and/or local library story time. I'm still trying to get established.

O.Kay my theory is this. I am going to live here and the snow is like always here , so I told my Fiance, Thank God for insurance , I am going to drive. It has been fun and for the most part the roads really aren't bad. Of course, i will be the one on the news that caused the 10 car pile up.lol. Hey I also feel your pain about the employment. I am currently looking and hoping this economy gets better. I will keep your husband in my prayers. The new move to a new state can be scary at times. I was totally relieved when I found this sight and thought , there might be hope for me.

Yeah...but I'm terrified of the hills and turns. It still baffles my mind that people live on steep hills/cliffs (in my opinion). I'm still getting used to it. I'm destined to venture soon. May I suggest you checking Craigs List for employment. I'm addicted to that site (baby/kid items)! I've gotten a few employer calls from there...my husband's had a lot of luck, too.

I will have to try craigs list. I know what you mean about the cliffs and hills. South Carolina is kinda flat.

LOL...where I came from in FL - it was flat. I'm originally from ME and you would think that I'd be used to it but it's been so long. It's different here.

I sometimes feel like an alien here. People look at me like I came from trailer park and i should be wearing a momo and have curlers in my hair.

LOL - I understand. But, the people are nicer.
