Wanted to share our exciting news!

We are in the process of adopting a little boy, now 15 mos old with cleft lip and palate from China and we got news today that our paperwork has been logged in China on January 5th. This date is important because that starts the count down to when we receive our Letter of Acceptance (LOA) that we sign saying we want to adopt him, that will be in about 2.5 to 3 months! That's it! Then only a couple of more weeks after that and we travel to China! So end of March or April and we will have our little guy home! I can't even begin to tell you how God has been with us during this entire process. We have had a hard adoption this go around, we had to let go of the 1st little boy we identified as our son because of many medical issues surrounding him. But God has shown us who was meant to be our son and we are so thankful to Him for showing us our little boy and letting us love him as much as the first. We've already picked out a name and we are going to call him Elijah and use his Chinese name Jie (means excellent, outstanding) as his middle name. Thank you!

I just reread my post and said we hope to travel in march or April, I should have said May or June. Things have changed a little since I posted our news and once we receive our LOA there is now an extra step before we travel.

That's ok, he will be home soon!
