starting a new group - Cedar Rapids Parents - Post

If I were to host a new playgroup would anyone show up? I'm on the NE side of CR and have a 12 week. Let me know!

Later mornings or later afternoons work good for us. We can be flexible just so we get in a nap. How about you? Does your little one have a regular nap time yet?

Anytime after 11 works for us. She had a nap schedule going, but then hit a growth spurt which messed it all up. I still haven't figured out her new schedule yet.

Ok, I am the difficult one. My schedule is really hectic right now because I am doing a field experience for school. So, the only day that I am completely free is Friday's but she does nap from about 2-4. We also have some time available Monday mornings, up til around 1.

Friday would work after noon since there's a LLL meeting until then. Monday would work too, just so long as it's not incredibly early.

We are very flexible Fridays, so whatever time works for you guys. Like I said, the only thing I have to do is get Savanah down for her nap by 2. (she is not a bit of fun if she's late for her nap!)

Hello there! Well that is great question. Savannah decided to take a nap at 10:45am, which is totally out of character for her. So, I thought she was joking, oh no she slept for 3 hours! She has been battling a cold for 3 weeks now and I think it caught up with her. I called Julie's cell phone and left her a message. I guess she didn't get it. Sorry!!!! Next time for sure as we were REALLY looking forward to it! I really wanted to get out and see you guys but she needed her rest.

I had a great time! I hope you all didnt mind me bringing my sis and friend along...... they are in the same boat we are. Just sittin around lookin for something to do. They enjoyed themselves though. My oldest, Shannon, doesnt have school Friday so she will be tagging along.I Would love to see everyone again! 11:30 Starbucks? It's up to the group, if it is as nice as today, we are going to head to the park. We did that today and Savannah loved it! Noelridge Park or the park in Hiawatha down from DQ, the name is slipping my mind...it is a clean park with a splash pad...sorry maybe I can remember later...when in the sun today, it was GREAT! Savannah is going on a 4 hour nap as she loved it soo much...it is so nice!

Well, none of you will want to be around Savanah and I. We started feeling ill on Sunday and went to the doctor today. Unfortunately we tested positive for Influeza B. She is doing better, but WOW am I feeling terrible. I certainly do not want anybody else to get this nasty stuff, so you guys can plan without us for this week. We should definitely be good to go next week.

Thursday is supposed to be sunny and mid 50's, Friday is rainy and 40's. I would be good to go outside on Thursday but others would probably think it was too cold!

We wouldnt be able to make it thursday, I have to teach all day. Friday would work, but if Thursday is better for everybody else we can miss this week.

So, I just received a phone call about the house that we made an offer on and they want to sit down and have a formal offer written and go over the rest of the process with me. Yay! But I may not be done before playgroup. I will try my best to make it but will probably be late if I can get there before one. Wish me luck!!!

This week has been insane for me!! Tomorrow I have to take my car into an autobody shop to have the front end fixed and I dont know if I will have a car or not. So, I probably wont be able to make it.

There's a mom who emailed me and wants to meet with us. Problem is she watches her kid plus another during the week most days and she can't drive with him. She said there's a park near her house and was wondering if we'd be willing to meet there soon. Anyone up for that this week?
