Congrats Billie! Do you have a boy or girl? I would have to agree with Danielle's advice. Definitely sleep when the baby sleeps. And don't be afraid to ask for or accept help.

Congratulations Billie. My advice is get your baby on a schedule so you will be able to keep up your energy and sleep when your baby does. If you can nurse, go for it. I couldn't with either of mine and somehow if I had the right help I would have. Anyway, God bless you and your new little one.

Oh yeah, definatly get a schedule going ! This will be a huge help. If you wait too long to start then it's going to be dificult. Your baby will start to recognize her schedule after about a week of doing it. It's hard to start one but eventually you will fall into it ok and it becomes natural. My evening schdule was feed, bathe, read, put lulliby music on and rock her while feeding again and then put her to bed in bassinet next to me. I know it seems strange to think that they will actually comprehend getting used to the schedule but it can work! I think I started doing all that when Haley was a couple months old. I know things are hard in the beginning.

Thank you everyone! I had a little girl, her name is Abigail Joyce. She is a precious gift, and we are very much in love with her. I am nursing, and pumping when she sleeps. If any one has advice to give, I am more than willing to listen. Thanks again! :)
