getting to know you
I would like for everyone to take the time to post a little about your family and children. This will give us all a chance to get to know each other.

My husband (Bill) and I met in the Coast Guard. He served 20 years and I served for three years. It wasn't until he retired that are beautiful girls were born. We have been married 5 years and our daughters are fun, loving 3yr olds. Cassidy is rather shy out in public but the dominate one at home. Jordan is a little more outgoing and likes to do things that impress mommy and daddy. I wouldn't trade this experience for the world.

hello
my name is Colleen and my hubby is Steve ... we have been together almost 15 yrs and married 8 yrs this Aug. we live in Southeastern Mass.

our beautiful girls are Rhiannon & Carys who just turned one June 9th

Rhiannon is the shy one but once she is comfortable in her surroundings she turns into my little joker ... sits back watches and listens to everything going on

Carys is my more out going one (both shy on different levels) she is pretty fast to jump into things ... she goes with both feet and thinks after ... she also seems to be the boss of the 2 (but don't tell her I said that)

I am a SAHM now and LOVE IT

Colleen,
It was only recently that I heard the name Rhinnon. There is actually a member from this site that lives in my area and her name is Ri

Sorry, I meant to hit cancel on that. I was re-checking the spelling. There is a girl that lives in my area named Rhiannon. Is it a family name?

I am a SAHM also and it is hard to believe that my girls will be going to school in 2 yrs. 3 yrs flew by so 2 will only be a blink away.

Kim
it has been getting more popular ... I did see someone post with the Rhiannon and wanted to say something but I had JUSt started popping in here and was too shy too

I heard the name about 14 yrs ago (a friend of Hubby's family has a daughter with teh name) and since then I fell in love with it and I knew if one was a girl that name would be in there some how ... I also really LOVE the song "Rhiannon" by Fleetwood Mac

Carys (KA-RISS) was going to be Piper but 3 wks before they were born I had a meltdown and changed it ... then after they were born and home I had another meltdown and wanted to change her name

I have been saying the same thing about this past year for me ... it feels like yesterday I was just carrying and feeling move in my belly and now ... WOW if every year is as fast as this one ... I am so glad I am home to enjoy every minute

Hello everyone!

My husband and I met when we were in college. This July we will have been married for 10 years. We have identical twin boys named Logan and Ryan. They just turned 6 months. Due to premature labor, I had to take a lot of time off of work and lost my position as a 6th grade Reading teacher. It was difficult, but a blessing in disguise. I was able to stay home with my boys for the first 5 months of their lives and plan on staying home next year too. After that, we'll see what happens. I have to say, if I could stay at home until they reached Kindergarten, I would do it in a heartbeat! Anyone know of any DECENT jobs that can be done from home to earn a little income?

Better not turn this into a book. Look forward to getting to know everyone.

Welcome Jessica. I am a SAHM as well and love it. My girls are going to go to preschool two days a week starting in May. I am not sure what I am going to do with my time. For three years I haven't know what time is. If you have any questions feel free to ask and we will all do our best to help.

Hi,

My husband, Greg, and I have fraternal twin boys Gregory and Gabriel. They just turned 2 on August 1st.

Gregory is my talkative, outgoing clown, who loves cars and trucks. Gabriel is my quiet, studious, sweet little monkey, who hasn't started talking yet, but goes gaga over letters and numbers. I say "monkey" because he likes to climb on things and recently broke his collarbone climbing out of his crib (he's fine).

I am a SAHM and my husband is a software engineer for IBM, who works from home when he's not traveling.

Hi I'm Debbie, hubby and I have 5 kids ages 14, 11, 11, 9 and 2. The older 4 are his and the youngest is ours, but since I've been with him for 7 years they are "ours"

We have faternal twin boys. When they were preschoolers, Tyler was a people pleaser and Travis was very ego centered, cared only for himself. They have switched rolls back and forth over the years. As 6th graders now they both seem to be comfortable with who they are as individuals.

I don't like that people say they can't tell them apart. Its so obvious to us who is who, (one is blond the other bruinette as well as thier faces are totally different) but they both wear glasses and have the same style of haircut.

We started them in K in seperate classes. We really wanted the boys to have their own identity and their own friends but the amount of work generated by 4 school aged kids got to be overwelming and in 4 & 5th grades we put them together. It really seemed to help them with organization to have the other in the same class,...

They are now in 6th grade, seperate and doing the best they have in years.

Having older kids, and not getting the twins until they were 4 my experiences are different but I'm still available if you want to ask questions.

Hi, my name is Jennifer and my husband is Steve. We have 2 year old twins (boy/girl) Sam & Grace. Complete polar opposites.....Sam is the impetuous rough houser, and Grace is definitely a girl...dainty, thinks things through and loves shoes! Grace is two going on twenty-two with her language and thoughts--definitely gets things already. Sam is still figuring things out; however, is right behind her verbally. He is a Momma's boy..loves to get hugs and give kisses! I work from home for a travel company and my husband is an electrician ~ we have been married for 8 years. I would love to hear how others are handling twins--especially having two kids at the same time experiencing the "terrible twos". Am I the only one who wants to join the circus most days! lol!
