hello
Hey,
my name is katie. I just started doing an internship at the hospital. I am finding it diffcult to work and be mom. I miss being at home with my son. he just started saying momma and he says it all day while im gone. it just breaks my heart.

I know how that feels. After a while though I began to enjoy going to work. Work is the only place I'm me, and not mommy or wife. And at the end of the day I'm more excited to go home and see my little rugrat, and my husband for that matter ;0) I hope that it gets easier for you. Is your son in daycare now?

No his dad watches him while i am at work. I cant handle the thoguth of leaving him with a stranger. im a paranoid person and all the stories about daycare scare me. Im lucky to not have to deal with that

I couldn't help but smile at your response. I was the same way, I just didn't have a choice. When we had our daughter my husband and I were both active duty. He was in and out to see for the first 4.5 months of Madison's life, and I was doin it on my own. I used to just hate the ladies that took care of Madison. Now I love them to death, and am heartbroken that when we move we'll never see them again. I feel like I'll never find a daycare center as good as the one she's in now. Does your husband work nights? That's gotta be rough on both of you if he does. Okay, well lots of cleaning to do, and Madison is going to follow me around and undo everything I do :0)

Hello everyone! I am glad to finally find a group I feel I "belong" to!! I work full time Mon-Fri 1st shift and my husband works 2nd shift so our daughter goes to daycare. I have ran into people/other moms who often make negative comments to me because I am not a stay at home mother. Sure I miss my daughter while I am at work but working does not make me less than a mother or love my baby any less. I am very excited when I am in route to go pick her up from daycare after work.
I am sure your baby misses you too but he knows that you love him. I am also sure that he will still remember you are "momma" when you get home!
