| Argh! I am so sorry that I haven't posted in response to you or greeted either of you two to the group! Let me just say, it is hard to find another single parent here in Appleton, Wisconsin! I go to a couple of mommy and me classes with my two month old, but all of the women are married and fairly well to do, completely the opposite of me [I guess its probably because the classes are on a weekday in the middle of the week, but hey, what can a single mom student do!]. I've discovered the family resource center off of Appleton Road, today, and they have a couple of parent-child drop-ins in the evenings, and I think I might start checking those out, but my favorite mom's drop in is at St. E's Wednesdays adn 10:30... Its really only for kids that are 6 months old and younger, because there aren't any toys, but its a great place to bounce ideas off of other new moms, and I've heard that once their children reach that maximum age, they move to the FRC for drop ins there! They actually have a lot of great toys for toddlers! But anyway, if you need anything, being new to the area and all, or need some advice on where to go with your little one, please post!
