Atheist, Agnostic, and Other Non-theistic Parents
Public online group

Glad to find this group
My name is Anita and I have 3 kids. Of course, ya'll can check out my profile and find out the boring details. I am mainly joining this group because I am homeschooling my oldest son and I am looking for people that know of some non-faith based cirricumlum. It is proving to be a very hard thing to come across. My husband is agnostic. I was raised in the catholic church (I'm in the "non-practicing" bracket, though). I believe that if a person is good to others then they are serving their purpose on earth. I don't think there is a need for one to believe in a god or many gods to be a good person. Looking forward to "meeting" everyone.

Welcome, Anita! I am glad you found us too. I don't know anything about homeschooling or about a non-faith based curriculum. I started this group so that I could meet other non-theistic parents and get pointers and advice for my own life. Hopefully, someone more experienced with it can help you out.

I know what you mean about local people. We are in a relatively big city area (Cincinnati). It can be considered diverse, but really it isn't. Most of the area is white Catholic Republicans. It was hard to be an Obama supporter in my red neighborhood. It's even harder to find non-theistic people.
