Hello. I am a stay at home mom with an amazing 14 month old daughter. I am looking for playgroups and things to get us out of the house. We live in Racine. Any advice or ideas would be greatly appreciated. |

Hi, hannah! I never get on here anymore, so I apologize for the late reply... I have a 3 and a 2 year old. We have decided we are settled in for the week with this huge cold streak coming in. Yesterday we went out and got some easy craft things. I bought 44 cent ceramic animals to paint. I use washable paint and put their old clothes on, or a smock and let them go at it. I also bought some pipecleaners. Your 14 month old might just like the feel of them. I use them to work on colors with my 2 year old and shapes with them both. They can mold them into the shapes too... but for your little one, you can still work on colors, When mine were really little like that (and I did this more when I only had the one 14 m old) I made tiny obstacle courses throughout the house that he could do. It wore him out and made nap time great! Do you still want to find a play group? |

Stevie, Thanks for the ideas. I think I am gonna try the pipe cleaners. Sounds like fun. And yes I am still looking for a play group. We are like you guys and not going out in this weather but as the weather gets better I would like to start to get Zoe to play with other kids. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks again.
