Do your kids watch TV? If so, how much TV do they watch and what are their favorite shows?

My kids watch an hour and a half of TV per day. Sometimes it is less TV per day. I am very strict on it because I think that it is important for my kids to do activities. I am very thankful that most of the shows that my kids like are 25-30 minutes. Alexander, my oldest, has many shows that he likes to watch for example, Diego, Dora, Backyardigans, Caillou, Dragon Tales, and Sesame Street.

Daniel (17 mos) watches his learing dvd twice a day (about an hour total). He's into this routine and sometimes asks to watch the dvd on his own.

It wasn't always this way in our household. There was a time when I had Sprout or Noggin on throughout the day. I've noticed since we have the tv on less Daniel is playing and asking to be read to a lot more.

we try to stick to the under 2 hour rule per day with our 2 year old son. He's only allowed to watch certain shows and dvd's. he loves barney, blue's clues, and franklin.

Just depends on when he wants to watch t.v... He still plays outside, and runs around while watching t.v. He watches educational shows so, they help him learn things. I really don't have a problem with him watching t.v. if he is still getting enough exercise and is learning. He likes sesame street, blues clues, Curious george, Super Why, Thomas the Train, and then movies. He loves the movie Hairspray, HSM, Polar Express, and many more........

My kids watch 30 minutes in the morning and a movie in the evening (approx 1 hour) in the evening. Other than that our television stays off. We watch Noggin, Dora, Franklin, and currently old Christmas cartoons.

My daughther watches TV on and off throughout the day. She is still a very active child, likes to play games, ad run outdoors as well. We watch Noggin mainly. Dora, Franklin, Diego, Blue's Clues, Yo Gabba Gabba., Max abd Ruby, and then Curious George on PBS. It is amazing what she has picked up from watching TV. She has a huge vocabulary, great manners, and a huge abundance of other information that blows my mind. Of course, Mommy talks alot, too.
