Hello everyone,
Dh and I have a baby due in March! He is not much interested in discussing baby names with me so I would appreciate your feedback.
I was reading through my baby name book and I came across Amaya. I have heard the name before but it didn't "grab" me like it did in the book. What do you think? I also kind of like it spelled Amaiah. Which spelling do you like better? I am partial to passing on family names so which middle name do you like best with Amaya: Lorraine, Louise, or Lynn?
Currently, Amaya is my favorite name for a girl but I do have others I am considering. I still like Aniston. My dad and my FIL both had Emmas in their families. I like Emmaley Violet together. My hesitation is that I already have an Emily in the family (she married my cousin). I still love Elle, or names I can shorten to Elle. What do you think of Elsie and Ellanor? I was thinking about Ellia the other day (I totally forgot we discussed that name). What do you think of it spelled Elleah? And I love Eve but I would like to be able to shorten it to Eve. Any suggestions?
Now for boy names. My top 3 are Travis, Asher, and Ethan.
We are going to leave the sex of the baby a surprise but I have a feeling it's a girl. That is why I have put more thought into girl names.
Sorry this is long. Thanks for reading! Your feedback is much appreciated and suggestions are always welcome!
Thanks again,
Jessica |

For boys I like Asher the best just because it is different but not to out there. Ethan and Travis are cute but much more common. For girls my daughter is Emilee. I like Amaya and I think I would do Amaya Lynn. What about Elaina or Elyse. I really like Amelia when I was pregnant for my daughter but my husband disliked it. I also like Aleaha. It is very hard to decide. Good luck, my husband wasn't into picking names either. We have Grant Joseph and Emilee June. |

Thanks for replying, Heather! I love Aleah, it is right up there with Amaya :) As much as I love Amaya, I do not think we will use it. Children can be very clever and we have a last name that could cruelly be pronounced crotch. I really like Elaina but have a friend with a daughter named Alaina. Amelia is pretty but that is my cousin's daughter's name. Good thing I still have a little time, I have no idea what name I want to use.
We are getting some Michigan weather here!! Have a happy holiday!!
