I took two different tests on two different occasions (Brand Name over the Counter tests) & both showed negative, although I was already pregnant. I didnt have any symptoms, I was just late. 50 days after my Last Menstrual Cycle, I took a Third test, that I bought at one of those $1 stores. There were two tests in ea. box and I bouht two boxes (hey, they were cheap) I SOO thought it was going to show negative (again) & that I was just stressed & therefore late. Nope, positive. So I took a second test right after. POSITIVE. The third, POSITIVE. My ex (we were already broken up at the time) just coincidently called me about 2 hrs later. I went over to his house to talk about it where I took a fourth and final test and sure enough, POSITIVE. My point? Don't always trust a Negative test, as I did and continued to go out and "party" not knowing I was pregnant. If you even think you MAY be pregnant, I would suggest you act like it, bcuz Thankfully my daughter was born healthy, but I tortored myself thinking about how I drank alcohol when I was already pregnant w/ her and didn't know it. |

I started noticing the exhaustion with both pregnancies around 4 weeks along, but didn't get a positive on a preg test until 5 weeks or so.
It's amazing the difference 3 days can make in your hormone levels-my first pg I tested and got a negative, but 3 days later another one showed positive. |

I got morning sickness almost directly after conception. I new I was making things up in my head and there was no way .... but low and behold YES! All sorts of smell made me sick and I was exhausted! (Much worse than the first). I took a test at about 3.5 weeks with over the counter test (clear blue easy) and got a negative. 2 days later I took it again with a dollar store test and positive! When I asked the dr he said that the dollar store tests are actually the most sensitive. Go figure for a change the cheap ones we don't think will work are the best. |

I felt pregnant a week into. I knew maybe since it was my second. Both times I got a bad cold (and i never get sick). I took a 2 dollar test 3 weeks after conception and it came up positive! Everyone is different though. I believe in trusting your feelings. Good luck |

I thought I was pregnant about a week before I normaly had my cycle. I went to the dr I told her that I might be just in case (I wanted to be on the safe side), she went ahead and did a test for me and it was positive - I'm about 5 weeks right now I think but when my dr did the test I was only about 3 weeks. |

Well since we are talking about being pregnant I have a question that might sound stupid. When do you ovulate in relation to your period? I'm kinda naive about these things. |

everything i've read says that you ovulate about half way between so about 10-15 days before you start. but everyone is defferant you could try doing the ovulation kit from walmart, thats what i did to find out. good luck. |

I never did the ovulation kit, but I read between 12-16 days after your first day of menstration, 14 being the strongest. But with my last child according to her due date, I spotted before I concieved which makes no sense at all... so it is different with every woman, unfortunately! I wish there was a sure fire way to just know!!!! |

Normally women ovulate 10-14 days after the first day of your last period. The best way to tell, without spending ANY money is you will notice some clear jelly like discharge when you wipe. Just look down around that time when you are on the pot! Some women(2% of female population) ovulate twice per month, but there are usually hormonal problems involved. Both times I conceieved I was EXACTLY 14 days into my cycle. The above ovulaton estimate is only good if you are REGULAR. If you have a 28 day cycle, it's 10 to 14 days;not sure if you are less or more than 28. |

ovulation really depends on your body... everything you read says 10-14 days before your period begins... but it all depends on you. The best way is to either check you mucas, monitor your temperature, or the easier (although most expensive) is to take the ovulation kit. They are almost always accurate and tell you when you and dear hubby need to go at it. |

With the dollar store thing, I know, amazing! Funny that you say that;not ten minutes ago a friend of mine called me up. She just found out she is prego! Yeeeeeeeeeeeyyyy. Anyhow, she said she can't be further than 3 weeks and it was confirmed on a $2 test at the Dollar General!
As for ovulation, 98% of women (probably from those tested?) ovulate once a month and CAN be determined if they have a REGULAR schedule. I |

With my son I knew when I was 3 or 4 weeks along. But with my daughter who I am now pregant with I didn't know until 6 weeks. I think I was just so busy with life I didn't notice the signs. With my son I was so moody of the bat, I almost missed by husbands head off and I knew sometime wasn't right. I had him take me home and go get me a pregnancy test. I thought if I went with him I might have killed him. I am sure he appreciated that. Good Luck! |

I took a test a week before my period was due and it came up POSITIVE! I was about 3 weeks then! You know your body and can tell any changes and especially if you were trying or not being careful. |

Yes Candice. I tested Negative Twice w/ $15 + tests and finally tested Positive w/ the dollar store brand. My LMC was on the 5th. I tested on the 8th of the next month & again on the 20th. Not until the 26th did I test Positive |

Oh wow... it took awhile for yours to show up! Ok, I feel better, I know I'm just being impatient! With my last 2 pregnancies I didn't suspect until atleast 6 weeks so I definitely tested positive but this time... oh! the wonder is driving me bananas! I guess I should have been careful what I wish for, I've been praying for more patience... I'm getting a full crash course in it right now!
I'm not really able to track my LMC since I was having major problems with it the last couple months... Sept. I had it for 8 weeks, then I removed my BC method then last month I had 2 plus I'm still nursing so there is just no way for me to even guess! Again, I have to be patient!
I appreciate all the responses though... its making this waiting game not so wicked! |

Lol! I married my superman/ Mr. Incredible... but no! I'm not Supermom! Its suprisingly not that hard. I have them on a schedule so I get my rest and breaks. I save us money by keeping toys and clothes 9thank God for Spacebags!). I had my son a few months after graduating from college and right now I'm enjoying being a stay at home mom... so I hope to just pop them all out so when I do return start to work, I can go for good. I want to have it all just not all right now! So I want to raise them until kindergarten then work on my career ;) I hope to have 4 or 5! Wish me luck! By the way, I just went for a walk... there is 99cent store a mile away in this shopping center, I've never gone in before until today and I got a pregnancy test! I can't believe they have them for that cheap! ALL MOMS should know this awesome secret! LOL |
