Hi -
Well, I am not quite a SAHM yet, but will be in a few weeks! I am giving my notice on Monday. My husband and our 2 girls are moving to KY (my husband is leaving a company he has been at for 10 years for a new opportunity) in a few weeks. I have worked since I got out of college 13 years ago so I am excited (and a bit nervous) to finally get to SAH. My girls are 2.5 years old and 8 months. I already signed up for a mom and tots class in KY. Any of you live in NKY or Cinci area? How do you spend your days with your kids? I have all of these visions in my head of how my days will work but I doubt everything will go as smooth as I invision! :) |

Hey Kim, nice to meet you. I have just moved to the Seattle area, and I am looking for things to do with the kids in the city as well. The one thing that is great is this online communication with all kinds of moms everywhere. However, it is nice too meet in person. The great thing about being home now, is you can go to the zoo or the park during the week without it being too busy. Or if there is a beach or swimming pool close by, and it is nice in your area, you can just go whenever. I hope you have a great experience being at home with your children, I know I do. |

hi Kim, It si great that you now have this opportunity. I agree with Laura to give yourself time to adjust. There are days when you will be so happy you are there with them, but there will also be days when you may ? the decision to stay at home.My biggest adjustment has been trying to keep to a schedule at home. I also have a 2 1/2 yo and an 8month old, both boys. I just got involved with a playgroup and i have high hopes for that. We also are new to this area-give your kids some time too to adjust to you beirng there all day and also to your new home. I wish you the best and on those days when it all seems too much for you-come talk to us. We will listen!! |

Thanks guys! I am looking forward to this. I just want to be sure that my girls meet kids too so that we can all have friends. Right now my girls are in daycare and my older daughter loves school and her friends there. When she gets home she likes to talk about them and on weekends we do get together with some of the parents and kids so the girls can all play together. It breaks my heart that we are taking her away from her friends but everyone tells me she will be fine and we will make new friends so I hope that is true! Being in a new place and having a brand new daily routine will take some getting used to for all of us!
I look forward to chatting with you guys! |
