real quick about me, i just moved to Washington state near Vancouver (by portland oregon) and my husband is a cop here. His shift is changing a lot with him being on training phase. Before that he was on specialized unit in Georiga that ALWAYS changed. And before that he was in the guard and deployed alot. lots of fun. I am a SAHM with a 6 month old little girl
You have a lot going on between a new little one and new home and perennially new schedule.
Changing schedules are even harder when kids that young are in desparate need of a regular schedule. We wives should get badges just like our hubbies do sometimes!
Have you come up with any special tricks that make things easier?
not sure if this is a trick but i basically ignore his schedule. my daughter is on more of a night schedule then day. she is all over the place with naps in the day. but basically we do our thing and when he can join in then great. of course with one car we have to consolidate our running around to days he is off. he works 5 days on, 4 off, 5on, 4off, 5 on 5 off. so he works 10.5 hr days now. makes it hard to coordinate doing things with others though.
