Setting Up New Traditions
The time has come for some new traditions to start in my family around the holidays - I won't go into why, it's all too sad.

Anyway -- What are some holiday traditions that your families participate in around Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years?

I love our family traditions as simple as they are.

Thanksgiving dinner is not eaten until we tell each other what we are thankful for.

Christmas tree comes out day after Thanksgiving

On New Years Eve we start another shoe box for the year - the kids decorate a shoe box and throughout the year we put things in it that were special - maybe pics from a family vacation - sometimes pics from a camping trip - a special school project -a birthday card to Jesus. Once the year is over we go through that box on New Years Eve or about and remember the fun times.

Christmas eve we get to open one gift - always jammies. The kids always know what it is but we always do it and they are still excited.

Those are a few.

I hope this holiday season is a blessed one for you and your family
