Target Apple Juice
Just wanted to post a quick note for any apple juice drinkers and Target shoppers.

I picked up a gallon of Market Pantry Apple Juice yesterday and poured a glass when I got home. I thought it looked a little cloudy but had just shaken it so assumed that was why. When I tasted it I almost spit it right back out. It tasted like the apples had fermented. A brand new bottle with an expiration date of 2010. I called the customer service line and they should be monitoring the product to see if there is reason for a recall. I just wanted to let anyone know that buys that type of apple juice to keep an eye and call the number on the bottle if it doesn't seem right. It could have just been a bad batch or it could be something worse.

While I was on the phone with the customer service rep. I was inspecting the bottle closer and found a stamp that said the apple juice concentrate was from Chile and China. If I had noticed that on the bottle at the store I would have never purchased the product. Especially since the issues with powdered milk from China.

This whole inconvenience has definitely led me to look more closely at product packaging and not just the nutrition information alone.

I know this is a little unrelated to the group topic, but I thought it would be helpful info for all.

No problem, I hope that the bottle I had was the only bad one. But if it wasn't I wouldn't want anyone to unknowingly give it to children too young to know it doesn't taste right. Especially if there is something in it that could make someone sick.
