Economy
Hi all,

With this crazy economy, I was just thinking it may be nice to swap ideas, on a local level, on how you are saving money in your home!

We all know kids are expensive and it's only getting worse.

During the summer, we planted a garden to defray produce costs.

We also made use of our clothes line to avoid higher natural gas bills.

It's harder in the winter though.

I try to remember little stuff like using a sponge for spills instead of paper towels.

I also read somewhere that, when doing laundry, if you get a lot of lint when you dry your clothes, you are using too much laundry detergent. I have cut my use of detergent in half.

Anyway, it would be great if we pool all of our tips together.
