hi everyone...so glad to see this group!
I am a 39 y/o mother of a 2 year old and 5 weeks pregnant.
I am admittedly always worried about this pregnancy. I want to just relax and enjoy it because it is such a joy to me. Does anyone else feel nervous about pregnancy particularly over 35?

| Hi My name is Hope and I am 36 and I have a two yr old Son and expecting a little girl in Feb. I am very nervous but I'm enjoying it alot. I wish you do hear all the reports about how having a baby when you over 35 isn't a good idea. I think that is crap my sister had her first at 40 and she was fine and so was her daughter. |

Bravo Michelle!
Congratulations on your pregnancy! I am a 38 yr old mother of a two year old boy. My husband and I have just started thinking about number two, and I am sure you and I share the same concerns. My take on it is, be sure to have all the correct testing done throughout the pregnancy. Stay vigilant about the regimen of tests your doctor should recommend. Beyond that, take care of yourself and enjoy that baby! |

Thank you ladies! Nice to have the support. I think the worry stems from a previous miscarriage and the age factor combined. I do feel that even though we aren't in our twenties, we are waaay more adept and able to care for these little ones. I just pray all goes well. I will be careful about the tests offered as well.
Congratulations on your little girl Hope! What does your son think of this new baby coming?

| my son isn't really sure what to think. He knows there is something in mommy belly but he is still a little confused. |

Hi Hope...
Just wondering how you are feeling? You must be ready to pop or close to it!
I am about 16 weeks and doing fine. I have gained more weight this past month thanks to the holiday treats, but all is well.
