Hi Cressida,
I wish I had somthing that would help you out. My daughter is 18 1/2 months and she will only eat infront of the tv, thats our fault we liked to watch movies while we eat after we got married and it hasn't really stoped.
As for not eating my daughter's dr tells us that their appities come and go and they know when they r hungery. I would say if she's not loosing weight and the dr's not worried give it a little bit of time and see what happens, if it doesn't get better then I would call her dr.
The only time we have to worry about it is when she is teething or going through a growth spurt and just wants to sleep.
Hope this helps. Good luck.

I wouldn't worry too much. I have a 2 year old as well and alot of the time she won't eat either. The Dr and my MIL who is a nurse, said that thier appetites come and go just like adults and they will eat when they are hungry. If my girl doesn't eat her dinner, i usually put it in the fridge in case she is hungry later. When she comes to me later and asks for snacks, i give her her dinner and tell her she can have snacks after she eats dinner. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't.

Have you tried letting her eat at a play table with little plates and spoons, but real food. My daughter for a few months ate at her table, for every meal. Thinking about it now I can't remember how we got her back to the big table.
