Hello I moved to Indiana from Ohio about two and a half years ago. I worked for the first year and a half and I stopped working because I met and married the love of my life and we decided I should stay home with the kids and finish my degree online. When I stopped working the friends I had made started to slowly disappear and now I only talk to one girl about once a month. She has three children and we got together 2 or 3 times a month for playdates and I loved it, the kids loved it, but for some reason it stopped when I stopped working. I'm really hoping to make some genuine lasting friendships around here. I come over to Danville quite often and my mother lives pretty close to there. I'd love to know more about the group! |

Hi I'm Veronica and my kids are Tyler and Tressia Right now we are the only ones in the group. I started it about a month ago but you are the first to reply. I have two kids age 2 and a six month old. I would love to have play dates and make a new friend. I don't have any friends since I don't work and we moved from Utah. I have no family here either so it is pretty lonely. If you would like to give me a call maybe we could get together some time. My number is 317-383-7392. |

Hey Veronica! Sounds like we have a lot in common, it's pretty lonely on my end too! I'll definetly call, i'm sure our kids would love playing together. Maybe we could take turns going to eachothers houses or something. Like you could come to mine and then I could come to yours and then the third time around we could take the kids somewhere, like the park or whatever. I'd also enjoy company when doing major shopping, like for fall clothes as an example! Tackling the mall alone with two young children is like a total nightmare, I did that last week, ugh. I'll definetly call and we can come up with some sort of plan that will work for both of us, and probably save our sanity! |

Yeah that sounds great. All though I never go out that way so I'm not even sure where you are at. But I have GPS so I'll figure it out. My husband works at the airport so his hours our weird. We only have one car so I have to take him to work when we want to do something. It is such a headache. Getting both kids up at 0500 and in the car of course they fall back asleep so I have to make two trips when we get home. It makes for a long day but it would be worth it for them to have someone to play with. There is a MCD's with a playland a couple of miles up the road so if it is too cold the kids can play there. I also have a membeship to the children's museum so we can go there sometimes too. |

Hey, the children's museum sounds really cool! I was about to say that when I come over there you wouldn't have to get the car but then I realized my car isn't big enough for four car seats. I didn't get around to calling you today, I made a schedule and stuck to it and it kept me busy! halelujah! I've been so bored lately i've been going out of my mind! So, what do you think about getting together next week, like say Wednesday? Monday and Tuesdays are really bad for me, my homework is all due by midnight on Tuesdays and since i'm kind of a procrastinator I usually end up spending all day Mon and all day Tues doing it! Well, i'll try to call ya tomorrow! |

I don't mind keeping the car it is just a pain in the but if I am going to do something by myself or just one thing. I used to make schedules and should really keep doing it but I have been a little depressed lately and have not wanted to do anything. I would love to try to do something on wed. give me a call anytime tomorrow but not at 1430 that is when Tyler takes his naps so I will be reading books then. I am so excited about being able to have someone for Tyler to play with. Have a good night. |

Ya know, if we do what I suggested and I come to your house one time, you come to my house the next, then we go somewhere the third time you won't really need to keep the car that much. I've been depressed lately to. I've just gotten into this rut or something and I'm so hard on myself. Like if I don't have all the housework done, or all the laundry, or if I just don't feel like cooking dinner I beat myself up over it because Chris works all day and I feel like the least I can do is have everything else done so he can relax! THEN, to top it all off i've gained 30 pounds since last October when I quit working and none of my clothes fit, I feel horrible, I think that's a major part of why I am so depressed. Ya know what else we could do, after a while if everything works out we could babysit for eachother once in a while so that we can have date nights with our husbands and not have to worry about paying a babysitter! I don't have a babysitter around here and I don 't know anyone, plus if we ever do want to go out we can't really afford to pay a sitter AND go out to dinner. You said you read when Tyler takes a nap, what do you read, for pleasure or for school or something? Why are you depressed? If I had the gas money i'd drive over there everyday and we could join a gym or something to lift our spirits! I really like working out, I just haven't for a really long time. Do you have a double stroller? I do, it's pretty beat up, but it works! Talk to ya soon |
