Anyone have a "Gifted Child"

My daughter will is in 3rd grade this year, although she is not a genius, but has a higher level of maturity and "giftness" than her peers. This kind of makes her socially unattractive. Anyone else out there have the same problem, and what do you do to help

I think you need to google on ways to find out more about gifted children , because I am in the same boat as you..I am not sure if my child's behaviour is attributed to his gifted nature or not!! My son is very good at studies and he is a genius..but he is not getting into the gifted program at school because his teacher doesn't feel so..and he doesn't feel so because my son acts differently in school from what he actually is as he does not want to be seen out of the crowd..so I am now lookint at how to get things resolved.
