Hi all! I'm new to this group. I have a 21 month old little boy who is my joy!
I'm wondering...does anyone ever feel guilty for only having one child? How do y'all handle others who try to make you feel guilty.
We are perfectly fine having only him. But others say that we have to have another baby because we are depriving him if we don't. Any comments are welcome! |

| I only have one child as well, everyone I run into says we should have another. My advise is do what is right for your family. You are not depriving your son if you are a happy family and satisfied with having one child. So bottom line do what is best for you. |

I think every parent of "onlys" get the guilt trip. When my daughter was about your son's age, I was getting the "guilt" from everyone. We were perfectly content with her, and didn't listen to them. She's now 9 and others have finally stopped asking "so when you having another"
Bottom line, I just told people when they asked that question, that it was a private decision between our family and walked away! |
