Hi! My name is Heidi. I an a stay at home mom to a fantastic 11 month old boy. My husband and I are relocating to the Savannah area for work and are I was wondering if anyone can offer and suggestions on places to live. We're looking for a suburb with good schools, low crime, and just an overall nice town. Hope to meet some of you when we get there! Thanks so much! Heidi

heidi- hi! my husband is in the military and is stationed in savannah- so when we moved here we lived on the islands. i loved it but it is a little expensive. after being here for a yaer we decided to buy a house and we had heard many good things about effingham county- which is 15 min outside of savannah. we bought a house (and love it!) we live in guyton- it takes my husband about 45 min to get to work in the morning. and we are transferring in june so we do have our house for sale if your interested! great schools- small town where everyone is super friendly! hope this helps! Heidi- Hi...My husband works in Savannah and we live in Effingham county in Bloomingdale. We had heard great things about the school system so we checked it out and moved here. We love it! Takes about 20 to 30 min to get to Savannah but the drive is well worth it to live in a safe, child friendly area. We are close to shopping and everything else but far enough away where there is little traffic. Good luck with your move, hope this was helpful.
