Relocating to the Savannah area

Hi! I'm a first time mom to an 11 month old boy. My husband and I are moving to the Savannah area for a job. We are trying to find a suburb or small town just outside Savannah that has good schools, low crime, and at least semi-decent shopping! Pooler is one of the towns we're looking at. Can anyone offer any other suggestions we should check out? Thanks so much!

Richmond Hill is a really nice area. It's only about 20 mins from Savannah and all that shopping, but too me it's a much safer area, with better schools. Hope this helps a little!
